Real Time Traffic Monitoring In Action

Managing traffic in an urban environment has been a challenge ever since metropolitan and cosmopolitan cities started emerging. Providing a smooth traffic flow in major cities has been a challenge to city administration and road safety engineers. We are working on a research project to monitor and manage real-time traffic with the help of computer vision and machine learning.

The central idea behind the research project is to analyze various real-time factors like a number of vehicle & humans crossing a traffic signal, speed of the vehicle and other factors to predict traffic congestion, collision and various other events in the area the system is deployed.

We are using darknet framework and Yolo to detect vehicles, humans and other computer vision-related factors and using supervised learning technique to do prediction.

Convolutional Neural Network ( CNN ) is a variant of deep neural network. CNNs are most commonly used in Computer Vision.

In this research project we designed a convolutional neural network to learn and classify handwritten digits. We used PyTorch Machine Learning Library to implement convolutional neural network.

Farmland Automation System

The agricultural sector largely relies on 20th century technology to manage farmlands which potentially leads to millions of dollars in wastage of resources. The idea behind building farmland automation system is to make agriculture of the future as automated as possible. We have designed IoT based farmland automation system to understand the different factors affecting crop yield such as water consumption, fertilizer and cultivation efficiency. As things stand now, we are planning to utilize visual learning through artificial intelligence to quantify crop yield, understand flood and drought patterns across the region

We have designed and implemented the initial phase of IoT farmland automation technology for our customers in India. This design costs one third of the current technology implemented across European farmlands while being as efficient and long lasting. We plan on scaling this into a spinoff and are looking at Europe right now as a potential market.
